Sales Representative - Full Time

We’re looking for people to join our external sales team, supporting our existing customers and creating new business in the central South Coast. If you are someone who is highly self-motivated, passionate about the welding industry and looking for a new challenge then we would like to hear from you! We are looking for experienced people who can hit the ground running with working knowledge of the welding, fabrication, shipbuilding, engineering or metal finishing sectors.

Successful candidates must be able to confidently demonstrate welding machines, consumables and related processes. They will also ideally have at least 5 years practical experience in the welding and engineering industries, preferably with qualifications covering as many of the following disciplines as possible; MMA, MIG, TIG , Oxy/Fuel and plasma cutting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • To generate sales, service and hire opportunities.
  • To ensure company profitability by maintaining agreed margins for products, hire and services.
  • In addition to servicing current accounts, to generate new leads and engage prospective customers.
  • To demonstrate products and services both at R H Davey Welding Supplies Ltd and on customer sites.
  • To keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, weekly work/travel plans and quarterly territory analysis.
  • As Senior Technical Sales Representative to train junior and internal sales staff in products and processes. Training topics, methods and schedules to be agreed with Directors.
  • This role involves a significant amount of travel, you will be required to travel daily within our designated sales territory (unless otherwise agreed).
  • International travel may be required on occasion.

Administrator - Full Time

We are looking for an Administrator to coordinate our internal systems and ensure that all admin processes are observed from start to finish. The Administrator will be responsible for developing and monitoring new internal systems where necessary, making sure required resources are available to facilitate best practice and be focussed on ensuring the smooth day to day running of the company. There will be a large element of customer liaison in the role. We need someone who is experienced in dealing with customers in a confident, professional and dependable manner.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Maintaining ISO 9001 Standards: Our Administrator will be heavily involved in coordinating this project and making sure we remain compliant at all times.
  • Company Scheduling: this person will be chiefly responsible for updating the company calendar, scheduling appointments, keeping a record and scheduling reminders of important timed events i.e. vehicle servicing, supplier visits, staff training, staff holidays etc.
  • Document Management: this person will be asked to oversee the paper trail within the company and to make sure that all necessary documents are completed/stored correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Invoicing/Credit Control: this person will be involved (with support from the Senior Accounts staff) with generating invoice runs, generating credits, emailing customer statements and also offering support to customers using our online accounts portal. You will also be expected to assist in resolving invoicing/account queries and securing payment dates from overdue accounts/cash sales.
  • To regularly check and maintain customer & supplier records & contact details.
  • To maintain document security and ensure GDPR compliance across the company.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Ability to maintain work-flow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly focussed on teamwork.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines set by company directors.
  • High level of IT competency with specialisation in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Experience with business sales/accountancy software preferred.
  • 2+ years’ business administration experience required.
  • Full driving license.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Internal Sales Team Member - Full Time

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Process telephone, email and trade counter sales enquiries.
  • Monitor and complete open transactions in consultation with the rest of the sales team.
  • Process goods in/out and goods returned.
  • Maintain run planning/driver scheduler app.
  • Maintain and update company data.
  • Process purchase orders to suppliers, securing best possible prices.
  • Update web shop and social media accounts.
  • Populate eBay/Clearance shops with slow moving stock items.
  • Liaise with workshop and hire staff to support with admin and ensure best planning.
  • Liaise with external sales staff.
  • Help maintain cleanliness and tidiness of office and warehouse areas.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in retail, specifically in the welding/engineering tool field.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to show initiative in a busy working environment is essential.
  • Practical experience of welding/engineering processes is an advantage.
  • Education to degree level an advantage.
  • Highly literate in IT, with a good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite and email marketing platforms (MailChimp etc).
  • Previous experience of retail/ePOS/stock management software is an advantage, however, training on our specific platforms will be provided.
  • Clean driving license an advantage.
  • Forklift licence an advantage (forklift training and refresher training provided to successful applicant(s)).
  • Excellent phone manner and people skills, an ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Marketing & Web Supervisor - Full Time

We are looking to employ someone to take responsibility for marketing the company and project managing the company’s web and social media presence. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in marketing in general, but with a focus on promotion through digital channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • To maintain the website and web shop.
  • To project manage the generation of a physical catalogue.
  • To generate content for all company social media channels.
  • To generate physical marketing/promotional material.
  • To maintain targeted marketing channels – email campaigns etc.
  • To liaise with suppliers for joint marketing opportunities.
  • To liaise regularly with sales team staff to identify promotional opportunities.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Marketing.
  • Experience with WordPress web content, preferably with a supporting qualification.
  • Experience of maintaining an ecommerce site.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative suite (or similar media generation packages), preferably with a supporting qualification.
