GULLCO KATBAK 1G42-FR CERAMIC BACKING TILES 12MTR/40" PER BOX

This tile is similar to the standard flat tile, but it is more flexible to go around a tighter radius. Please note that all other tile shapes can be made 1/4” long to aid the flexibility of the tile. Each tile is radiused to form a strip around a cylinder. 1G83-FR This is similar to the 1G42-FR, but it is a thicker, larger tile to withstand higher currents where minimal penetration is required.

Gullco 1G42-FR ceramic weld backing tiles are 1/4 inch (6.3 mm) thick, 1 inch (25.4 mm) wide (B), with a 1 inch (25.4 mm) length (C), featuring a 3/16 inch (4.8 mm) deep groove (D) for X-ray quality welds, available in various overall tape dimensions, like 12 meters (40 ft) per box, for root and fill welding.

Product Formats:

• These tiles are typically packaged in 12-meter (40 ft) rolls or strips, often with a pressure-sensitive foil backing for adhesion. 

Purpose:

• Used for root and fill passes in welding, eliminating gouging and grinding, and producing high-quality, X-ray acceptable welds from one side.
