SPEEDFIRE 7MM THERMIC SLICE TORCH - 5 MTR

The SpeedFire Miniature Thermic Lance Torch, or "Speedfire Slice Torch," features a 7mm collet and fittings for 7mm OD thermic rods, making it ideal for removing rusty or frozen pins from machine parts. It requires only oxygen, as the steel in the lance serves as the fuel. The lance is ignited using a flame or a 12V car battery and striker plate. Once lit, oxygen is directed at the pin, boring a hole through it quickly.

The process may require multiple rods to fully penetrate long pins. After the hole is made, the pin contracts as it cools, allowing for easy removal. PPE, such as face shields, hoods, and gauntlets, is essential due to dross ejection.

Consideration must be given to where the molten dross will exit and potential damage to floors or machine parts. Protective measures, including welding blankets and physical barriers, are recommended to shield surfaces from the molten dross, which can burn through materials if left to pool.
